Context

A redesign for a restaurant whose original Google Site was slow, crowded, and difficult to navigate.

Challenge

Turn a single overloaded page and PDF menus into a credible, fast digital presence.

Role

UX audit, information architecture, responsive design, performance work, and build.

Result

A multi-page restaurant experience with documented Lighthouse results of 96 mobile and 100 desktop in recorded tests.

The work

The original site was a Google Site. Everything on one page. PDF menus. Unoptimised images that pushed load time past a minute on standard connections. Lighthouse scores between 10 and 21.

The redesign separated concerns / landing page with key information and CTAs, dedicated menu, story, gallery, and contact pages. Every image converted to WebP and lazy-loaded. Booking integration, WhatsApp and phone contact, digital menu concept.

Final documented scores reached 96 on mobile and 100 on desktop in the recorded tests. Same restaurant, built right.
